Review of Venice’s private food tour, with spritz, cicchetti, seafood, wine, gelato, local guides, value, and practical booking advice.

“We have done food tours all over Europe and the US. This one was just not as up to par as any of the others. Our guide was very informative and gave us lots of history, so that was very nice. However as a food tour it was rather bleh! WE booked a private food tour. We went to two restaurants with roughly 5-6 bite sized tastes at each place. That would have been ok but it was literally 5 or so tastes, split between four of us. With our past tours, we each had our own bites. Do you know how hard it is to cut a bruschetta in…”

Review of Venice’s 3.5-hour Cannaregio food tour, with cicchetti, prosecco, spritz, risotto, dessert, local history, and practical tips.

“Giulia was absolutely wonderful. We had such a lovely tour around the cannaregio, eating the most delicious food! Best risotto I've ever had, a lovely introduction to the Venetian variety of spritz, and the pizza! We went back to one of the places the next day for more pizza. As it was during the week, the tour was just my sister and myself, and Giulia included a little walk as well which was lovely and great for digestion! I slept wonderfully last night. Thank you so much for showing us around, Giulia! We hope to see you next time, when we bring the rest of our family! No photos I'm…”

Explore Venice beyond the crowds with Rialto Market, San Polo, Carampane, Grand Canal views, cicchetti, and local wine.

“This tour was quite good. The guide I think her name was Barbara was very informative and pointed out interesting details that we would not have learned on our own. The Rialto market was interesting, and the wine and snack stop at the end was a lovely way to end the tour. The tour group all sat around a large round wooden table and had time to get to know one another before leaving on our own time. The only thing I would add is perhaps a map of where we had been so we could go back and explore the locations a bit more.”
